The entire Maiorescu academic community is deeply saddened by the passing of Academician General (Ret.) Prof. Univ. Dr. HC Vasile Cândea, founding member and Vice-Rector of Titu Maiorescu University, a prominent figure in cardiovascular surgery, a professor of high academic standing, cherished and respected by tens of generations of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students.
Founding President of the Academy of Scientists of Romania, Professor Vasile Cândea dedicated his entire life to his academic career, serving as a role model for us all, both through his professional value and his human qualities.
We will keep him in our memory!
