DISPATCH INFORMATION
Secondment refers to the completion of residency training modules at a university center other than the one to which one is assigned.
Secondment may be approved in the following situations:
- The center to which you are assigned cannot ensure the module's deployment.
- Strongly justified personal reasons – accompanied by evidence
For DEPARTURE ASSIGNMENT from Titu Maiorescu University Center to another training center
The resident submits the following documents to the residency training department:
- DETACHMENT REQUEST CARE from the Titu Maiorescu University Center, which specifies: center where will the modules be performed?, modules for those who wish to be seconded, the duration of each module and coordinator with whom the module will be carried out, the reason. The request must be approved by the specialist coordinator.
- For approval by the Department Director, the departure secondment request must be accompanied by the arrival secondment request signed by the module coordinator, and the admission approval from the university training center.
Note - One departure detachment request must be completed, which will include all modules for which detachment is desired (for a maximum of 1 year, after which the detachment procedure can be redone for other modules). Approved departure requests can be picked up from the secretariat within a maximum of 5 days of submission.
For secondment to the Titu Maiorescu University Training Center from another university training center.
The resident submits the following documents to the residency training department:
- DETACHMENT REQUEST RECEIPT at the Titu Maiorescu university center, approved by the module coordinator.
- For the approval of the Department Director, the request for incoming secondment must be accompanied by the request for outgoing secondment signed by the specialty coordinator, the agreement of the training center for departure, and a copy of the identification document / copy of the passport.
- Copy of letter of acceptance to studies, certificate issued by the University to which it belongs, attesting enrollment in paid places designated for citizens of a non-EU state, citizenship, series/number of the letter of acceptance to studies, specialization, and year of study.,
Note – The detachment request form must be completed for each module, requiring approval from each module coordinator.
Documents can be sent by emailEmail rezidentiat@univ.utm.ro or they can be physically brought to the Resident's Office.
During the detachment period, all training obligations, including module-end exams, revert to the coordinator/department director/training manager at the unit where the resident is detached.
INFORMATION – RESIDENCY INTERRUPTIONS
Residency can be interrupted for the following reasons
- Participation in residency training programs
- Accompanying spouse on official mission or studies abroad
- Medical leave
- Maternity leave
- Child-rearing leave
- Other situations provided for in current normative acts
For the purpose of undertaking a form of training, residents will submit to the Residency Department, at least 5 days before the requested date for the interruption of their residency, an application endorsed by the specialty coordinator, accompanied by proof (translated into Romanian if the internship was carried out abroad) that they have been accepted for the respective internship, specifying the training period.
The file for interrupting the residency is sent to the Ministry of Education for approval and issuance of a new acceptance letter with the updated information, depending on each individual case.
The interruption cannot exceed one year, with the possibility of extension based on a new request.
Breaks in residency, with the exception of internships pursued abroad and recognized as such, lead to an extension of the residency period by the corresponding duration.
INFORMATION – SPECIALTY CHANGE
Resident doctors may request a change in their chosen specialty if they have completed less than half of the total training duration in that specialty by the date of the request, and only with the approval of the accredited higher education institution providing residency training, the specialty coordinator, and the department director at the university training center.
The program coordinator's opinion MUST also include the recommendation regarding internships that can be equated as a result of the change in specialization.
Change of major is approved Only once.
Required documents:
- Ceres
- Valid passport copy
- Study documents for children
- Children's certificates with grades obtained in completed internships
- Copy of Letter of Acceptance for Studies
- Copy of studies contract
- The supervising professor's opinion and recommendation regarding internships that can be equivalent when changing specialization.
The application with the coordinator's agreement, accompanied by the recommendation for the equivalence of internships, and copies of the required documents, shall be submitted to the Residents' Office for approval by the Head of Department and the accredited higher education institution, 30 days in advance. After obtaining the approvals, the file is sent to the Ministry of Education for approval of the change of specialization and the issuance of a new letter of acceptance.
INFORMATION – RESIDENCY EXTENSION
After taking medical leave, maternity leave, child care and raising leave, unpaid leave, or in other situations where residency training is interrupted, as provided for in the current regulations, the resident submits a request to the residency training department for the extension of residency training by the interrupted period.
Required documents for resuming residency
- Request approved by the Specialist Coordinator, Department Director, and the Rector of Titu Maiorescu University
- Valid passport copy
- Proof of payment of tuition fees.
The application, accompanied by the necessary documents, must be submitted to the residents' office for approval 30 days in advance. Subsequently, the file is sent to the Ministry of Education for approval and the issuance of a new acceptance letter with the new information, depending on each individual case.
