TITU MAIORESCU UNIVERSITY,
Included in the 2022 University Metaranking
It has been made public University Metaranking 2022, a ranking of Romanian universities based on their presence in international higher education rankings. The document includes among Romania's top-performing universities and Titu Maiorescu University of Bucharest. The ranking includes 31 universities out of a total of 87 (53 public and 34 private). Only two private universities are present in the hierarchy: Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest and one university from Transylvania. The 2022 University Metaranking was carried out by a group of experts from Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Transilvania University of Brașov, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, West University of Timișoara, University of Bucharest.
Presence in the 2022 University Metaranking is A new academic achievement of Titu Maiorescu University. This positioning follows another exceptional result from the spring of this year: the inclusion of the University in the National Metaranking for 2021, which marked the first time a private university was featured in such a ranking. The positioning of Titu Maiorescu University in Hierarchy of Romania's elite universities start to affirm so a constant of evolution institution in the international and national university education space. In performance evaluation, Metaranking uses precise scientific criteria and standards, within a complex process, carried out by specialists with authority in the field. Therefore, given the rigor, exigency, and objectivity of the analysis, Metaranking can be considered a mirror of performance reality in Romanian higher education.
The inclusion of Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest in the Metaranking, as a result of the institution's presence in international rankings, attests academic level to all of this, the quality of study and research programs. A university with a comprehensive structure (10 faculties, 24 bachelor's programs, 21 master's programs, 8 scientific fields, 3 doctoral schools: Medicine, Dentistry, Law), Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest has several Institutional attributes which identifies and differentiates it within the Romanian educational system: institutional complexity and robustness, quality of the educational process, excellence in education and research, innovative spirit, international openness, development dynamics. These defining elements for the University's identity and status are certified by the results achieved and the institution's position in the two internal rankings, National Metaranking and University Metaranking. Currently, Titu Maiorescu University is in a complex development process, which involves the fundamental domains of the institution: infrastructure, human resources, study and research programs, and internationalization.
