International Conference on Law, European Studies and International Relations, It aims to bring together academics, researchers, university faculty, doctoral students, master's students, students, and, last but not least, legal practitioners and representatives of legal professions, to exchange and share their experiences and research findings on the most diverse aspects related to reforming legislation in the spirit of new national, European, and international trends regarding the proposed theme for the edition, as well as to discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.
Starting from the Kantian categorical imperative, ”act accordingly that so that your actions may be imposed as a universal law of nature”, Good faith is a fundamental concept in law and is recognized in all areas of the legal world, it can be argued that good faith represents an essential pillar within the legal system, promoting ethical conduct and strengthening trust in legal relationships.
Good-faith aspects can be found in contract law, the principle influencing the interpretation and enforcement of contracts, as well as in family law, the principle of good-faith can play an important role in various situations, such as the exercise of parental authority or the division of joint property, the parties being encouraged to act in the best interests of children and to cooperate in resolving disputes, but also in the area of the good-faith exercise of procedural obligations in civil or criminal procedural law. These aspects represent only a few glimpses of the research horizons generated by the proposed conference theme, multiple topics in these thematic areas, but also in areas of labor law, transport, constitutional or public international law will be analyzed in the scientific papers to be selected - topical research topics likely to arouse the interest of both legal theorists and practitioners (lawyers, notaries, magistrates, bailiffs, legal advisors).
In a world where legal systems increasingly interact, and legal experience is subject to constant evolution, we therefore wish to analyze doctrinal foundations together and discover appropriate practical solutions that scientific research, by bringing together the thoughts and creative energies of this conference, will generate within a upgrade perpetual and necessary to respond to diversity.„Good faith is not just a moral principle, but also an essential tool for protecting fairness in any legal system.” – (Lon L. Fuller).
We are convinced that this important scientific event will be one of the most prestigious events in the national legal calendar, with international resonance, offering an opportunity to discuss current issues regarding the universality of inheritance law, and which are of reference for society, economic, cultural, and linguistic environments, the legal community, aiming to highlight new solutions and interpretations between legislative tradition and the modern values that accompany us.
Hoping that the conference theme will stimulate our appetite for interdisciplinary and exciting areas of research, we invite you to be part of the debate on the most interesting aspects related to good faith in law.
The conference presentations will take place in plenary and breakout sessions.
