World Restart a Heart Day – Learn to Save a Life!
Faculty of Medicine The Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest invites you to participate in a series of free workshops on October 16, 2024, Basic Life Support (BLS) in Băneasa Shopping City. The first edition of this project was a resounding success last year, so we invite you this year to a new edition where you have the opportunity to learn from doctors and medical students: first aid techniques and maneuvers.
The workshops coordinated by Professor Dan Mănăstireanu and Associate Professor Răzvan Adam will begin at 13:00 and will take place in a specially arranged space in Băneasa Mall.
Basic Life Support (BLS) represents a set of first aid techniques and procedures used to maintain a person's vital functions in the event of a medical emergency or cardiac arrest. The main goal of CPR is to maintain oxygenation and blood circulation in the body to keep vital organs, especially the brain, functioning until advanced medical help can be provided.
World Restart a Heart Day (World Restart a Heart Day) is a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and educating the public on how to react in the event of cardiac arrest. It takes place annually on October 16 and is supported by international organizations such as the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and other national first aid and resuscitation organizations. The main objective of this day is to educate and train as many people as possible in basic resuscitation maneuvers, so that in the event of cardiac arrest, people around the victim know how to intervene quickly and effectively until the rescue teams arrive.
So, join the movement #RestartAHeart and show that you care for the hearts of those around you. Together, we can make a difference, ensuring that every heart has a chance to beat again.
