following the institutional evaluation
On May 24th, an academic event took place at Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest, under the auspices of celebrating the institution's 33rd anniversary, which included several festive moments of symbolic value: inauguration of the new Senate Hall, awarding of the ARACIS certificate with the „High Degree of Trust” qualification following institutional evaluation, presentation of the Titu Maiorescu Diploma of Excellence and the Medal of Honor to personalities in higher education and scientific research, awarding of the Professor Emeritus title and diploma to faculty members of the University.
The event, coordinated by the University president, University Professor, Ph.D. Iosif Urs, and its rector, University Professor, Dr. Daniel Cochior, had guests of honor such as: University Professor, PhD, Sorin Cîmpeanu, President of the National Council of University Rectors, President of AUF (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie) and former Minister of Education, conf. univ. dr. Octavian Mădălin Bunoiu, President of ARACIS, Mihnea Costoiu, rector of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Prof. Univ. Dr. Ing. Adrian Badea, President of the Academy of Romanian Scientists, the audience consisting of members of the University's Board of Directors and Senate.
University President, Professor Iosif Urs, highlighted the importance of celebrating the University at 33 years old, an age with symbolic significance on a spiritual level, highlighting the journey taken, the efforts made by the maiorescian academic community to build a solid and strong higher education institution. 33 years is a young age compared to the classic universities of Europe, founded in the medieval period, but it comes with the advantage of strength, dynamism, and enthusiasm in creatively participating in the process of knowledge and development, An age of maturity and the full realization of institutional potential. The Titu Maiorescu University is recognized today nationally and internationally for the complexity of its academic structure, for the quality of its studies, for excellence in education and research, for the successful integration of graduates into the labor market, for high-performance management, and for the dynamics of development in direct relation to the evolution of knowledge domains and the demands of the socio-economic environment. Our university, emphasized President UTM, is, at the same time, a space of academic values, by virtue of which we form the generations of tomorrow, who will build European Romania, as Titu Maiorescu, the University's mentor and spiritual patron, and his generation built Modern Romania. Sorin Ivan, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Communication, and International Relations, spoke about the University's acquisition, through public auction, the original copy of Titu Maiorescu's Law thesis, defended at the University of Paris in 1861, which bears the author's holographic annotations. Professor Sorin Câmpeanu, President of the National Council of Rectors, expressed his/her appreciation for The quality of studies and students at Titu Maiorescu University, for the University's success in the fields it addresses.
