Francophone Colloquium „Digital Transitions: Opportunities and Challenges for Women in University”

Today, November 23rd, the opening of the Francophone Colloquium „Digital Transitions: Opportunities and Challenges for Women in University” took place, organized by RESUFF (Francophone Network of Women in Leadership Positions in Higher Education and Research).

This event took place at Titu Maiorescu University, and with the support of the Regional Directorate for Central and Eastern Europe of the AUF, we had the opportunity to host guests from international universities and scientific research institutions.

The session was opened with a welcome address by the rector of Titu Maiorescu University, Daniel Cochior. Following the opening of the colloquium, the following speakers took the floor: AUF rector, Slim Khalbous, and RESUFF president, Christine Rivalan Guégo.

Vice-President of Titu Maiorescu University and member of the RESUFF scientific committee, Ms. Smaranda Angheni, along with Associate Professor at Titu Maiorescu University, Maria Niculescu, delivered a presentation on the topic: The Role of Women in Higher Education in the Integration of Multiple Rationalities in the Digital Transition.
During the event, topics such as the following were addressed: The current situation of digital technology's contribution to gender aspects in university; The role of digital technology in training and research in higher education institutions, and Best practices in combating stereotypes.

The Francophone Colloquium takes place over two days, and tomorrow the series of presentations with current themes dedicated to women in higher education continues.
