Titu Maiorescu University is the best-positioned private university in Romania in the 2024 edition of the international ranking of academic and research institutions SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR).
Ranking SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) This is a comprehensive evaluation of educational institutions, companies, government institutions, and non-profit organizations. The indicators used in the development of the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) are grouped into 3 main categories: research (50% weight%), innovation (30% weight%), and social impact (20%%).
In this year's edition, UTM is ranked 23rd in the general ranking for Romania. and rank 20th nationally according to research area indicators, demonstrating growth in the volume, impact, and quality of research results, in line with its institutional development strategy.
The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) conducted in 2024 includes 4762 higher education institutions worldwide, of which only 33 Romanian universities meet the minimum criteria regarding the number of scientific papers published. The full ranking is published here.
