The distribution and processing of evaluation questionnaires are currently done through the Microsoft Teams platform.

For the periodic evaluation of teaching staff, Titu Maiorescu University uses several criteria and methods detailed in Procedure for the evaluation of teaching and scientific research staffPerformance criteria and standards. This evaluation pertains to the subject matter expertise, specific communication and interpersonal skills within the academic environment, the ability to impart knowledge to students and implicitly the use of a specific set of teaching-learning methods and pedagogical tools, scientific research potential, and the moral and professional ethics of each faculty member involved in the educational process, adherence to regulations and discipline in the educational process, involvement in the activities of the department, faculty, university, etc.

Thus, several tools are used to evaluate the quality of teaching staff and other activities specific to the educational process:

  • Teacher Self-Assessment Form;
  • Faculty peer evaluation form;
  • Faculty Evaluation Form by Department Head;
  • Student/Master Student Teaching Staff Evaluation Questionnaire.
  • The questionnaires for the Distance Learning Bachelor's Degree Program regarding the evaluation of the tutorial system, the evaluation of the teaching materials made available to distance learning students, and the evaluation of the Microsoft Teams Platform.

Student evaluations of teaching staff are conducted after each semester, for all forms of teaching (lectures, seminars, practical work), through an evaluation questionnaire, approved by the Senate UTM.

Peer review takes place annually, with each faculty member being evaluated by 3 colleagues from the Department.

Peer evaluation is supplemented by self-assessment by teaching staff, which is carried out at the end of each academic year, using the same questionnaire model as peer evaluation.

Corroborated by these evaluations, each faculty member is also assessed annually by the Department Director, who evaluates the faculty member's professional and scientific activities at the Department, Faculty, and University levels.

Based on the results of the evaluations and their conclusions, corrective actions are taken.
