Titu Maiorescu University, 35 years since its establishment – Faculty of Dental Medicine, celebrates progress and the building of a teamwork system!
The Faculty of Dental Medicine of „Titu Maiorescu” University in Bucharest celebrates progress and the building of teamwork by joyfully joining the festive events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the University's founding.
At the opening, the Dean of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ana Maria Pangică, extends a warm „Happy birthday, UTM!” and awards the entire team of teaching staff, students or graduates, and auxiliary personnel who have made a common effort for the development of the Faculty of Dental Medicine.
We were honored by the presence of: Mr. President of the Senate Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Iustin Priescu, Mr. Vice President Prof. Dr. Valentin Pau, Madam Vice-Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elena Rusu, Mr. Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Titi Paraschiv, Mr. Vice-Rector Lect. Univ. Dr. Teofil Panc, and Mr. Prof. Dr. Horia Barbu, who gave speeches.
The Festive General Assembly was a symbolic moment of celebration and gratitude, dedicated to the vision and involvement that guided us in forming a consistent number of specialists: 29 generations, over 3,300 graduates, and an academic community made up of over 150 tenured and associate faculty members.

Mastering the Damon System
The Faculty of Dental Medicine UTM, in collaboration with Ormco, is organizing the course “Mastering the Damon System” – with the support of Associate Professor Marius Mariș, MD, PhD, and Associate Professor Anna Maria Pangică, MD, PhD, Dean of the Faculty.
For three days, the event is specially designed for first, second, and third-year postgraduate students, offering them a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Damon System, with insights from field experts. We look forward to seeing you!

Student Congress „Updates in Complex Oral Rehabilitation”

International Congress Updates in Complex Aesthetic Oral Rehabilitation
International Congress
Updates in Complex Aesthetic Oral Rehabilitation 2014
will take place from October 16-18, 2014, at the location Calea Văcărești no. 189 – Building M, sector 4, Bucharest, and will bring together representatives of the national and international academic and scientific research community, to present new materials, techniques, and technologies, and to conduct interdisciplinary exchanges of experience with implications in complex oral rehabilitation.
The congress is organized with the support of the Romanian Society of Oral Medicine, the Romanian Society of Dentistry (SRS), the Order of Dental Technicians of Romania (OTDR), UPB-Biomat, the Private Clinical Center for Dental Medical Assistance “Titu Maiorescu”, Sitea, DentalView, GC Romania, Alligator, Colgate-Palmolive Romania.
The congress is organized into three sections, which include lectures, scientific communications, posters, and an exhibition of dental equipment, instruments, and materials.
The sections of Congress are:
- The „Interdisciplinarity in Implantology” Section”
- Section „Controversies in Complex Oral Rehabilitation”
- „Scientific Communications and Posters” section”
IMPORTANT
Authors are requested to submit the abstract of their scientific papers by 06.09.2014, for analysis and selection by the scientific committee. Abstracts of lectures and scientific papers should be sent online, as an attached Microsoft Word 2003 document, to the following email addresses: anamaria.bechir@gmail.com, claudiaandreescu@gmail.com
The Word document will contain:
- Title of the work in Romanian and English
- authors in the desired order, specifying first name, last name, and, if applicable, academic title
- Highlighting the name of the person who will present the work
- The represented institution, the city
- Summary of the work in Romanian (with diacritics), which will contain a maximum of 250 words, as well as the goal of the work, material, method, results, conclusions
- Abstract of the work in English (with the same requirements as for the abstract in Romanian)
- the section to which the work belongs, oral presentation or poster
- Technical support required: multimedia, videoplayer (NTSC, PAL/SECAM systems)
A group of authors can present a maximum of 2 scientific communications.
When drafting lectures and scientific paper abstracts, please use Arial 11, single space.
Poster dimensions: A1 format (594 x 841 mm).
We kindly request that submitted works have not been presented at other scientific events.
The duration of a lecture will be between 30-90 minutes, and that of a scientific communication, 8 minutes.
Authors will receive notification of acceptance by 09/20/2014.
Lectures and papers (abstract/full text) will be published in the Congress volume (ISBN), and the most appreciated works will be selected for publication in the Romanian Journal of Dentistry or Medical Connections. Papers submitted in full text before the start of the Congress will have priority.
The author(s) of the lecture/papers/posters wishing to receive a certificate of participation will have to pay the participation fee.

Registration Fee
The participation rate is:
- for doctors: 450 lei until 09/01/2014 and 675 lei after this date
- For master's and doctoral students: 400 lei until September 1, 2014, and 600 lei after this date
No fee is charged for students.
The participation fee includes access to all scientific events of the Congress, including access to exhibitions, badge, congress bag, congress program, abstracts of lectures/papers submitted to the congress, and coffee breaks.
The participation fee can be paid as follows:
- By nominal payment order, nominal deposit slip to Banca Comercială Română into account RO49RNCB0546029228350001, opened at BCR Bucharest "Timpuri Noi" Agency, beneficiary Titu Maiorescu University of Bucharest, fiscal code UTM 4337662 (from any bank, preferably BCR), by 10.10.2014, specifying in the explanation field: Congress participation fee UTM (full name and surname of the person for whom this fee is sent and their status, doctor/doctoral student). - for individuals: National Personal Identification Number and home address
