Faculty of Psychology of Titu Maiorescu University was founded in 1991, is accredited by Law 239/2002 and is part of Romania's National Education System, with all the rights and obligations arising therefrom:
- It provides a 3-year undergraduate degree program for bachelor's degree in day and distance learning, and various 2-year master's degree programs for undergraduates.
- Apply the European Credit Transfer Credit Transfer System, ECTS.
- It organizes the bachelor's exam for the completion of undergraduate studies and the dissertation session for the completion of master's studies.
Through its study programs, Faculty of Psychology of Titu Maiorescu University provides training of specialists for the following professions:
- Teaching staff for pre-university and university psychology teaching.
- Scientific researchers in the Romanian Academy's profile institute.
- Psychologists qualified to work in public or private services in the following fields:psychotherapy and clinical psychology, marital and couples counseling, psychological and psychosocial assessment techniques, counselor-negotiator, human resources psychology and personnel policies, psychology of advertising and publicity, image counseling, educational and vocational counseling.
Graduates find multiple job opportunities, as they are:
- High schools, universities and staff training centers in various fields of activity
- School psycho-pedagogical and vocational counseling offices
- Psychological care centers in children's homes, foster homes, schools and old people's homes
- Personnel testing and selection firms
- Psychological laboratories and clinics organized by state or private economic agents, hospitals, state or private medical clinics, schools, colleges and faculties

- Public opinion polls
Via ERASMUS program, Faculty of Psychology offers student traineeships at Universities Paris XIII and Paris VII in the field of PSIHANALIZEI, and Laguna University - Tenerife, Spain, in the field of SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY. Through teacher mobility projects in ERASMUS program, prestigious professors and researchers from the Universities Paris VII, Paris XIII and Laguna-Tenerife give lectures and conferences at Faculty of Psychology.Faculty of Psychology has collaborative relationships with other prestigious universities in USA (University of Florida, Charleston Southern University) and Australia (University of Western Australia - Perth, University of Melbourne).
Spaces and facilities
Faculty of Psychology of Titu Maiorescu University is housed in the University's state-of-the-art premises on Calea Văcărești, 187, Sector 4.The faculty's teaching facilities are modern and functional, consisting of 3 amphitheaters and 10 seminar rooms. The faculty has a Applied Psychology Laboratory and a computer lab with applications in psychology.
Applied Psychology Lab has recently been equipped with psychological testing machines:
- car driving simulator SX05-93
- electronically manipulated tremor meter 05-27B
- computer-assisted electronic stabilometer for orthostatic hold 05-47H
- manual coordination tester 05-52T
- sensor tester complex with sensor-motor conflictograph 05-58K
Computer lab is equipped with 20 computers equipped with special software for psychological tests (psychological aptitude, aptitude, attitude, personality tests, etc.), Titu Maiorescu University Library has a special section dedicated to the Faculty of Psychology, and specialized books are divided into three sections:
- clinical psychology, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis (over 1500 volumes)
- social, organizational, occupational and human resources psychology (over 1200 volumes)
- Experimental, diagnostic and applied psychology (over 900 volumes)
Reading room has over 50 places and 10 computers available to students.
