Titu Maiorescu University announces the completion of the first Report for the JCOERE (Judicial Co-Operation supporting Economic Recovery in Europe Project) regarding judicial cooperation for European economic recovery. It has now been published on the project's website and can be consulted. here<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The report provides an examination of the substantive rules laid down in Directive (EU) 2017\/1132 on restructuring and insolvency, and a comparative analysis of how these new provisions interact with existing rules on preventive restructuring in the Member States, as well as with existing EU-level requirements for judicial cooperation laid down in Regulation 848\/2015 on insolvency proceedings.<\/p>\n

The project thus moves into a new stage of analysis, focused on the instances and how this duty to cooperate will or will not function in the cases concerned. More details about the JCOERE project's publications and activities are available at website<\/a><\/span>-ul JCOERE.<\/p>\n

The project is co-financed by the Horizon 2020 Programme \u2013 the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020) \u2013 Grant JCOERE-800807-PM and aims to improve judicial cooperation under Regulation (EU) 2015\/848 on insolvency proceedings to support preventive restructuring proceedings for businesses at the European level.<\/p>\n

Titu Maiorescu University of Bucharest is a partner in this project, alongside University College Cork, Universita degli Studi Firenze, and INSOL Europe. Within the University, the project is managed by Prof. Smaranda Angheni, Associate Prof. Ioana M\u00e2nea, Judge Nicoleta Mirela Nastasie, and Lecturer Cristian Dr\u0103ghici.<\/p>\n

Titu Maiorescu University represents for JCOERE a partner with significant experience regarding the case of countries that have recently joined the European Union, from former Eastern Europe, offering consultancy on the challenges these countries face concerning acquisition<\/em>- the community, the capacity of national authorities and courts to meet the obligations from the regulation - with direct impact - and the knowledge of other legal systems in Europe.<\/p>\n
