One of Romania's first universities founded after the fall of communism, Titu Maiorescu University is today a higher education institution recognized for the quality of its studies and its dynamic development. Titu Maiorescu University subordinates its entire activity to a strategic objective: to participate through its study programs and research activities, through the training and specialization of students, master's and doctoral students, in the development process of Romania.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this context, Titu Maiorescu University appreciates that Program Educated Romania<\/i><\/b>, under the auspices of Presidential Administration<\/b>, represents a necessary initiative for the development and progress of Romania, a true National Project<\/i>, important for the present and for the future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout its entire activity, Titu Maiorescu University participates in achieving the objectives formulated in Program Educated Romania<\/i><\/b>. Institutional data, academic structure, study programs, infrastructure, human resources, ongoing programs and projects, and international partnerships are the fundamental elements that form the framework for the University's action and evolution in the European spirit, in terms of policies under the auspices of the EUA (European University Association).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With a broad opening in the space of knowledge, the University approaches classical and modern fields of study, from the era of globalization and digitalization: law, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, psychology, educational sciences, communication, international relations, economics, computer science (www.utm.ro<\/a>In the University's programs, over 8,000 Romanian and foreign students, attracted by the quality of education and study conditions.<\/b><\/p>\n

Educational Offering<\/b> the 10 faculties of Titu Maiorescu University is in full agreement with\u00a0 <\/span>objectives<\/b> Program Educated Romania. <\/i><\/b>The 24 bachelor's degree programs, 20 master's degree programs, three doctoral schools (Law, Medicine, Dentistry), the Department of Specialization with Psychopedagogical Profile, and various postgraduate programs encourages lifelong learning and contributes to efforts to increase access to university education for diverse student groups<\/b> \u2013 from graduates of prestigious high schools to non-traditional students; from national olympians to graduates of rural high schools; from students supported to pursue a teaching career to professionals interested in upskilling or reskilling<\/i> etc.<\/p>\n

Regarding the financing of the education sector, according to the principles of university autonomy and in the spirit of good governance<\/b>, Over the last 15 years, the University has invested in the development and modernization of over 55,000 sqm of educational spaces (lecture halls, classrooms, and laboratories), libraries, student dormitories (450 accommodation places), a canteen, alongside investments in logistics and digitalization. The over 40 million euros represent the largest investment in education and research by a private university in Romania.<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An ongoing project is Titu Maiorescu Medical Campus Development<\/b> where, starting with the 2021-2022 academic year,\u00a0 <\/span>Students from the Faculty of Medicine and Dental Medicine will study in new laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment. Also here, in the future, Titu Maiorescu University Hospital will operate as the only private university hospital in Romania.<\/p>\n

University Development Strategy for the period 2020-2024<\/i> prioritize the dimension of internationalization <\/b>and provides for an increase in the percentage of foreign students enrolled in English-language programs for Medicine and Dentistry or in the Preparatory Program for the Romanian Language. The development also aims at initiating new English-language study programs in fields attractive to international students \u2013 economics and computer science. Through partnerships with prestigious universities, funding for international mobility of teaching staff and students (over 100 students annually from all study levels), affiliation with international associations (EUA, AUF, Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027), participation in international fairs and conferences, Titu Maiorescu University contributes to increasing the international visibility and quality of Romanian higher education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
