UNIVERSITY REFERENDUM<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

By Senate Decision no. 1 of 09.11.2023, the dates for the referendum on the election of the method for designating the Rector UTM for the 2024-2029 term were approved, as follows:\u00a0First round of voting - December 7, 2023<\/strong>,\u00a0Second round of voting - December 11, 2023<\/strong>, between.\u00a0800<\/sup>\u00a0\u2013 2000<\/sup><\/strong>. In accordance with Article 133 of Law no. 199\/2023 on Higher Education, as amended and supplemented, the methods for appointing the rector are:<\/p>\n

a) based on a public competition or<\/p>\n

b) by universal, direct, and secret vote of all tenured teaching staff and tenured researchers of the University, as well as by student representatives in the University Senate and faculty councils.<\/p>\n

The referendum is open to all teaching and research staff employed with indefinite contracts at the University, as well as student representatives from the University Senate and faculty councils.<\/p>\n

    In the University\u00a0Titu Maiorescu<\/em>\u00a0is being organized\u00a0two public debates<\/strong>\u00a0for the information of the academic community regarding the referendum and its implications, as follows:<\/p>\n
