The anti-plagiarism check is carried out by analyzing the Similarity Report.<\/li><li>The Similarity Coefficients in the report are as follows:<\/li><\/ul><p>-Similarity coefficient 1- percentage of the text with all fragments of at least 5 similar words found in other documents<\/p><p>Similarity coefficient - 2 percent of the text with all fragments of at least 25 words found to be similar by the system in other documents.<\/p><ul><li>The scientific coordinator of the bachelor's thesis must examine the Similarity Report for unauthorized borrowings in the paper.<\/li><li>We recommend the following alert thresholds:<\/li><\/ul><p>The similarity coefficient of 1 must not exceed 30%<\/p><p>A high percentage of Similarity Coefficient 1 can indicate an overuse of loans<\/p><p>The similarity coefficient 2 shall not exceed 5%<\/p><ul><li>Exceeding the specified value for Similarity Coefficient 2 is a very reliable signal of the presence of unauthorized borrowings in the document.<\/li><li>Documents that exceed the permissible percentages of similarity coefficients cannot be automatically considered cases of plagiarism; plagiarism can only be established following the interpretation of similarity reports.;<\/li><li>For checking the similarities within the bachelor's thesis using the anti-plagiarism software of UTM, an additional fee is charged on top of the final examination fee, only if the check is done in advance at the graduate's request, or if, following the first check, a high percentage of similarity is found, the thesis is redone and the percentage of similarity is re-checked. The amount of the fee for the anti-plagiarism check of the thesis for the final examination, upon the graduate's advance request or for the 2nd and subsequent checks is 100 lei according to<em>\u00a0Regulation on the Nomenclature of Fees approved for the 2025-2026 academic year,<\/em>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/site.utm.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/UTM_SG_REG_025.pdf\">https:\/\/site.utm.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/UTM_SG_REG_025.pdf<\/a><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Procedure approved by the Faculty Senate for checking plagiarism in graduation theses<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Please stay in touch with the scientific coordinator to finalize the bachelor's thesis, especially if the established percentages are exceeded.;<\/li><li>Please send the completed thesis papers for anti-plagiarism verification (after obtaining the scientific coordinator's approval) to Mr. Asst.univ.dr.
